It contains facilities for inserting coding and documentation templates that save typing and ensure BioPerl best practice compliance. Untar in situ with $ tar -xf bioperl-mode.tar In your .emacs file, add the line (require 'bioperl-mode) and restart. Source files are available in site-lisp and etc directories.
